Script to Screen: Mind Maps

I had the most fun planning this, but I did have some trouble deciding what to do with the microscope and I feel I would like a few more suggestions however I already have some ideas formed from doing this and feel confident enough to plan out a plot and story from using these. The prison I feel is the most flexible feature and the one I might mess with more in the story because it could be used metaphorically rather than the microscope which I feel some people might not know what it looks like. The bodybuilder I might play it safe and make it male so it fits the archetype better but play with what visually is a bodybuilder within the story to make it more interesting.

I had a lot of fun deciding what to add onto the sounds, making the mind maps I did manage to generate a lot of ideas, but I  feel I will find a lot more ideas once I get out into the field and start to get a more rounded idea of what it should sound like, as the way I divided these up I considered the individual noises more than the whole sound and how it will progress and so it might not all add up or become to overwhelming.

Character Design: Introduction, Sizes, Shapes and Traits.

Image
For this workshop we got introduced to character shapes and types, looking at how basic design can show how the audience perceives the character and how its personality can show compared to the other characters, so circles are usually reserved for happy, soft characters and side kicks while triangles are for dangerous, deviant characters like villains. I had a lot of fun designing and experimenting with the shapes and characters, and this workshop has helped a lot with my style as I wish my drawing was more diverse and expressive and now I know how to achieve it a bit more.  I got assigned a lawyer to experiment with different shapes and I like how there personalities shine through even though I draw them without thinking too much, which I feel is the way to go in designing characters for me at the start, because my style loosens up a bit more and I don't worry about proportions as much as I usually do which I think makes my drawings stale and safe.

Adobe Audition: Sound Experiment 01- Siren and Interview

Image
Today we got to have a play through Adobe Audition and get to grips with editing software within the program, first by editing out background noise like static and buzzing and also sirens that may crop up in audio for our project. I had a lot of fun with this, especially figuring out the mechanics and seeing how good I could get the audio after improvements, I still feel like I have a long way to go, but I am intrigued with how using this software will pan out in making the audio for the 3 images later and learning how to edit more using the software.
