Before the deadline I decided to collect a few more sounds just to tweak some of them, especially image 2 which I am struggling the most with. To improve image 2, I decided to go out and buy some feathers, because my other attempt to find replacement sounds were not working because the objects sounded too thick, so I bought a feather boa and recorded sounds from the full thing and the small feathers that fell off it and I think the sounds turned out well, and so far I think they fit the image a lot better than the fur and the leaves did. I also bought some styrofoam balls and recorded them for my other images, I think the sound of them falling on the book would work well or image 1 because of the round shape, it might help add some diversity and finally after exploring some of the previous years sounds I decided to try and record a whisk vibrating, as I found the edited sounds interesting and thought they would make a good replacement in my image 1 recording, as it had some generated sounds and I wanted to find a way to replace them and I think the strange vibrations from the whisk work well.

 Today I decided to record some more natural sounds, this time seeing how the sound of wind would sound through a window before I recorded it outside, as I think the slight whistling noise through the window would make it sound more interesting, I am planning on collecting more natural sounds, but I wanted to see how it would sound before I progressed onwards in case the background noise was too much in comparison to the wind and ruined it.  For the second sound for my second image, I wanted to continue to find something more sharper so I tried to record the sound of cactus spikes, particularly if I ran my fingers through it, as it makes a very sharp, high pitched sound that I think could work better, especially if I could replicate the sound to reflect the more smaller portions of the image.  Lastly I wanted to try and collect a more electronic sound for image one, to match its sharp, electric colours so I wanted to start by recording a microwave, as I thought is humming noi

Premise: Room Design and Development

After finally deciding on a character design for the lead in my story, I decided to take that design and explore I will approach the environment where the story will be set. I wanted to look at making the room look very dull and also mismatched and dated to suit the juxtaposing feeling it has against Drew and how they feel being within the environment and how it feeds into their feeling of loneliness. I want ed to have an obvious focus toward the room looking old and not suited for Drew by looking at dated carpets and duvet designs to show how ill suited the room if for them, so I mainly focused on 50's patterned and designs. I also wanted to explore how I could structure the bed before finally comparing how I wanted the room to look colour wise.
