Premise: First Brief Idea Drawings

Because I have been struggling a bit with where to start on my Premise project I decided if first wanted to get some rough drawings out so I could illustrate a basic example of where I want to go with the project, while also seeing how my skills hold up when it comes to drawing light and shadows. I feel I have got out some of the ideas that I wanted, and after some discussions feel I will try and focus more on the story before I try and make any more drawings. In terms of the character within theses drawings, at this point I am not married to the outfit design nor the gender of the character, I simply wanted to lightly experiment with design and colours.

I already also have a background for the character started as well, as I think I want the character to be someone who is quite unsettled, maybe due to and outside incident which is causing them to be constantly moved around to new houses and families, which has left them feeling separated and anxious around sleeping and being truly comfortable within the new bedrooms they are placed in. I think this is how I want to contrast the environment with the characters thoughts and feelings, and also have the environment itself have its own history shown in the design that I will try and explore further once I have the story sorted first.
