Moving on from last week, I have started to look at conceit for the character, and mine is Tin toys to add onto my astronaut character. I decided to make this batch of mood boards to help me narrow down designs that I could start producing, starting with the objects I would like to assist the astronaut such as a space ship, a space gadget (like a space bike, space tank, space racer, etc) that could make the story more fun and lighthearted, and for the last set I wanted to look at possible ideas for the villain. The idea for the Robot being a possible villain I got after a conversation about the characters trait, as the tin toys market was mainly producing a lot of robot toys and not a lot of aliens, so that seemed like the perfect choice for an antagonise within the story. I also briefly looked at different toy body sizes, as he's also quoted as being "clumsy" so I wanted to make my main character very story whereas his USSR friend could be a lot slimmer and flexible which could cause an interesting dynamic between the two characters.

Sound Experiment 04

 Today I decided to record some more natural sounds, this time seeing how the sound of wind would sound through a window before I recorded it outside, as I think the slight whistling noise through the window would make it sound more interesting, I am planning on collecting more natural sounds, but I wanted to see how it would sound before I progressed onwards in case the background noise was too much in comparison to the wind and ruined it.  For the second sound for my second image, I wanted to continue to find something more sharper so I tried to record the sound of cactus spikes, particularly if I ran my fingers through it, as it makes a very sharp, high pitched sound that I think could work better, especially if I could replicate the sound to reflect the more smaller portions of the image.  Lastly I wanted to try and collect a more electronic sound for image one, to match its sharp, electric colours so I wanted to start by recording a microwave, as I thought is humming noi

Premise: Room Design and Development

After finally deciding on a character design for the lead in my story, I decided to take that design and explore I will approach the environment where the story will be set. I wanted to look at making the room look very dull and also mismatched and dated to suit the juxtaposing feeling it has against Drew and how they feel being within the environment and how it feeds into their feeling of loneliness. I want ed to have an obvious focus toward the room looking old and not suited for Drew by looking at dated carpets and duvet designs to show how ill suited the room if for them, so I mainly focused on 50's patterned and designs. I also wanted to explore how I could structure the bed before finally comparing how I wanted the room to look colour wise. I am struggling to decide whether the rom looks good or bad against all the unflattering colours and designs, and as well which room conveys the idea I had for it the most effectively (e.g it previously being a young girls ro
